About Maria

Maria De Gregorio is a Director for the initiative SupplySTL at Greater St. Louis Inc. In this capacity, she serves as a consultant to business owners by providing strategic guidance, advice, and support. Working closely with regional partners, she engages anchor institutions and corporations as well as small and mid-sized businesses and works to eliminate access barriers, create connections, and cultivate relationships that lead to a robust local procurement ecosystem.

Prior to joining GSL, Maria was the Business Counselor of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan St. Louis. She connected business owners with technical assistance providers, MWBE certifying bodies, or other resources to help them improve their operations and scale.

While she lived in Ohio, she was the Assistant Director for International Curriculum at The Fisher College of Business where she played an active role successfully designing and implementing new internationalization strategies for the College. She advocated for the Hispanic community while serving as Program Coordinator for the Job Readiness Program with Catholic Social Services in Columbus, Ohio. In this position she was able to double in size the program within six months, securing funds from federal grants and private institutions. As a result, the Program was recognized as “The best Hispanic non-for-profit organization” by Mundo Hispano in Ohio.

She also lived in United Kingdom and Argentina where she gained vast experience in international sales and marketing working for both B2B and B2C companies. Among her international business accomplishments, she opened new markets in Europe and Asia and grew year on year sales by 30%.

Since 2023 she is an adjunct Professor at Saint Louis University where she teaches Latin American Business.

Maria also volunteers in diverse institutions in the St Louis area. She is an active board member of World Trade Center STL, Venture Works, International Institute and Harris- Stowe University Business school.

Maria is multilingual and received her Master’s degree in International Business from UCES Argentina and her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from National University of Rosario in Argentina. She moved to Saint Louis in 2017 with her husband and three daughters.
